Job summary

Gorham House in Gorham, ME is seeking a Care Associate/PSS for memory care nights and weekends. This full-time role supports residents with daily living activities and meaningful engagement, 32 hours/week, with weekends required.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, meals, laundry, and light housekeeping, while leading individual and group activities and maintaining a warm, respectful, and professional demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors with dementia preferred.
• Proficiency in English to perform duties and communicate with staff.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and memory care tasks.
• Lead one-on-one and group activities and accompany residents during meals.
• Support memory care laundry and basic housekeeping within the neighborhood.
• Respond to concerns and communicate with residents, families and staff.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with residents and co-workers.
