Gorham House is seeking a dedicated caregiver for memory care in Gorham, ME. The role covers evening shifts (2:30PM–11PM) with 32–40 hours weekly, providing compassionate companionship and helping residents remain independent in daily activities.

You’ll lead activities, assist with meals and routine tasks, and respond to concerns, maintaining a positive, professional attitude toward residents and staff. A CNA/CHHA license and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors with dementia preferred.
• English proficiency to perform duties and communicate with supervisor and others.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills; Outlook, Excel and Word required.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to solve problems in variable situations.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor with residents and coworkers.

Responsabilités

• Provide companionship and support to residents.
• Assist memory care residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtimes; assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping.
• Ensure concerns are addressed with timely response and follow-up.
• Maintain a professional demeanor toward residents, visitors and staff.
