Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Gorham, ME is seeking a compassionate Memory Care aide to support residents with daily living activities and meaningful engagement. You will work an evening shift, providing kind and consistent companionship, and assisting with personal care to promote independence while maintaining dignity.

Experience with dementia is preferred; a CNA or CHHA license may be required by state. A supportive team environment, training, and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors with dementia including participation in activities is preferred.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Evening shift (2:30PM to 11PM), 32 to 40 hours/week.
• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Assist Memory Care residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and mobility to promote independence.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime, assist with memory care laundry, and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure concerns from residents/family/employees receive timely response and follow up to maintain satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
