Wellstar invites applications for a Medical Technologist/MLS role on the Night shift (Fri-Sun 6:30pm-7am) with weekend shift differential. Under supervision, you will perform clinical laboratory testing, maintain QA, and ensure accurate reporting of results while upholding Wellstar standards of behavior and patient safety.

Required education includes a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, with MT(ASCP) or equivalent certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required/preferred.
• MT(ASCP) or equivalent certifications required upon hire.
• Experience with clinical laboratory testing and QA procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets department standard for correct patient or specimen identification.
• Maintains documentation of QA failures or trends.
• Maintains instrumentation for testing and analyzes lab data.
• Reports lab data within established turnaround times.
• Interprets lab data in relation to clinical findings.
• Adheres to department procedures and chain of command.
• Contributes to Laboratory Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Assists in inspection preparation and testing method analyses.
• Supports cost-efficient work processes while maintaining quality.
