Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to work night shift and perform routine and specialized laboratory testing per approved protocols.

You will maintain equipment, QA activities, and ensure accurate patient results while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, MT/MLS certification, and at least 1 year of laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• MT(ASCP)/MLS/AMT/HEW certifications required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
• Computer skills including Excel and data entry; Epic/3M experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accuracy in patient, QA, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Ensures correct patient/specimen identification and timely reporting of results.
• Documents QA failures, investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintains instrumentation and contributes to QA and performance improvement initiatives.
