Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a clinical laboratory professional to perform testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved protocols. You will maintain equipment, perform QA activities, and may contribute to training within the lab.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field, MT(ASCP) or equivalent certifications, and at least 1 year of lab experience preferred. Shift: Night in Georgia; Epic/3M experience a plus.

Qualifications

• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), MT(HEW), MLS(ASCP), MLS(AMT), MB(ASCP), H(ASCP) certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Documents investigation and correct interpretation of QA failures or trends.
• Maintains instrumentation for testing and reports lab data accurately with established turnaround times.
• Interprets information from multiple sources and hands off information to team members.
• Adheres to Wellstar Standards of Behavior and takes action on constructive criticism.
• Contributes to Performance Improvement initiatives and inspection readiness.
