MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Inpatient Med Surg on 1 West in Augusta, Maine. This is a 30-hour-per-week night shift position (7p–7a) with three 12-hour shifts one week and two the next, including weekend and holiday rotation.

The 1 West unit is a 36-bed Med/Surg area focusing on cardiac and stroke care. Eligible new graduates are encouraged to apply, and incentives and robust benefits support your growth within MaineGeneral Health.

Qualifications

• Maine state licensure as an RN required or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• New Graduate RNs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept students/nurses.
