Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Augusta, ME is seeking a Night Registered Nurse to join the 3 West med/surg unit, focusing on post-surgical and high-acuity patients. This 24-hour-per-week role includes two 2-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) with weekend and holiday rotation.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate care plans, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while educating patients and families. Maine RN licensure is required; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resources.
• Monitor and record patient conditions and communicate changes as appropriate.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Educate patients and families according to age, culture, and condition; delegate care as needed to staff.
