Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Med/Surg CNA on the 3 West unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. The role involves patient care under RN supervision on a fast-paced Post-Operative unit.

The position is 36 hours per week on the night shift (7p–7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, three 12-hour shifts per week. Generous benefits and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) CPR/BLS.
• Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff in fast-paced environment.
• High School graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under RN supervision in accordance with scope and standards.
• Greets patients and visitors; screens and routes calls; calls codes and announcements as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
