Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Med/Surg CNA on 1 West in Augusta for 36 hours per week on the night shift (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays. You will provide patient care under RN supervision and assist with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of patients and families.

Required is a valid Maine CNA certificate and excellent communication skills. The unit is fast-paced CardioPulmonary Med/Surg with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certificate from the State of Maine.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice.
• Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors; answers, screens, and routes calls.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
