Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Materials Handler to support the movement of materials for production/remanufacturing of railroad equipment. You will work with Shipping, Receiving, Quality, Inventory Control and Manufacturing to ensure accuracy and timely deliveries in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in materials handling or warehouse operations in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping/receiving systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Receive, inspect and document incoming shipments.
• Perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory records.
• Pull, pack and stage materials and customer orders for shipment.
• Process shipping and receiving labels and documentation for carriers.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Deliver materials to production areas in a timely manner.
• Perform ERP transactions in Oracle.
• Support other materials-handling functions to meet production and shipping deadlines.
• Provide production departments with material needed or requested in a timely and organized manner.
