Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Lead for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) at the Wakefield facility. The role directs the shift maintenance crew, performs emergency and proactive maintenance, and collaborates with operations to uphold safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include leading daily maintenance work, coordinating with plant leadership, and using SAP CMMS for work orders while training others. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required, with emphasis on GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience is recommedned.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial operations, Plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field.
• Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
• Experience in the installation, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment; electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift maintenance crew and direct all maintenance work, including emergency repair and proactive maintenance.
• Utilize SAP CMMS to order, write and track work orders and train others on the CMMS system.
• Ensure safety, food safety and quality standards are followed; reinforce GMPs.
• Coordinate with operations and support teams to meet daily and weekend requirements.
