Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) in Duluth, GA is seeking a Logistics Dispatcher to execute a daily plan for moving freight within an assigned area. The shift is 6PM–6AM with a 3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off rotation.

You will gather, monitor, and analyze inventories, adjust orders for driver capacity and customer demand, coordinate with Asset Specialists, and communicate with Load Planners and customers to resolve service issues and maximize on-time performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent business experience; degree preferred.
• Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft and logistics application software.
• Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations, using independent judgement and discretion.
• Ability to work well in teams with staff and contractors from all departments.
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Excellent personal skills and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Gather, monitor, and analyze inventories for forecasted customers.
• Confirm accurate retain and runout times while maximizing payload and on-time performance by analyzing inventories and sales as information becomes available.
• Evaluate and adjust current and future orders based on driver capacity and customer demands.
• Coordinate with Asset Specialists to update known sourcing as changes occur and revise daily operating plan as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with Load Planners, Scheduling Team Leaders, and external customers on service issues.
• Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities.
