Job Overview

Are you energized by nighttime dispatch operations and take pride in coordinating drivers and freight with precision? We're seeking a Night Local Operations Coordinator to manage overnight dispatch for our Skinner bakery account. Your responsibilities will include ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries, supporting local drivers, and maintaining smooth operations during overnight hours. You will serve as the primary contact for overnight dispatch, working independently to solve problems, make decisions, and uphold our standards for safety, productivity, and customer service.

Schedule

Monday - Friday (6:00 pm - 3:00 am)

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispatch & Supervision: Oversee local drivers during overnight operations, ensuring effective communication and high productivity.
2. Data Management: Track and update dispatch data accurately in our system.
3. Driver Coaching: Promote safe and efficient practices, including telematics and safety policy compliance.
4. Documentation & Compliance: Manage BOLs and trailer info, ensuring smooth deliveries and adherence to customer specifications.
5. Equipment Coordination: Work with shop personnel to address equipment issues and manage downtime.
6. Yard Checks & Monitoring: Conduct yard checks twice daily, monitor trailer accuracy, and refrigerated load temperatures.
7. Communication: Liaise with internal teams and customers to manage trailer pools, updates, and satisfaction.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor drivers' Hours of Service, ensuring FMCSA and company policy adherence.

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
