Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) Clinical Registered Nurse to provide 12-hour patient care within Perinatal Services. You will support labor and delivery, newborn and maternal assessments, and nursing education in a Baby-Friendly environment.

The role requires a BSN and at least one year of Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience, plus current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• BSN required; may require completion of BSN by hire date if not yet completed.
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience.
• Certification in related nursing specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend labor, cesarean births, and vaginal births and newborn care.
• Maintain SBAR communications for emergencies and routine hand-offs.
• Develop and follow patient care plans with the health team.
• Document assessments, plans, education, and discharge per policy.
