Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA seeks an LDRP Clinical Registered Nurse who delivers care across labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum, applying evidence-based practices and respecting patient rights. The role reports to the Clinical Unit Supervisor of Perinatal Services and carries 12-hour accountability for patient care within a defined group of patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of LDRP clinical nursing experience.
• Nursery and/or NICU experience preferred.
• Certification in related nursing specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend laboring patients, cesarean births and vaginal births; immediate newborn and mother assessments.
• Utilize SBAR communications in emergencies and routine hand-offs.
• Follow Baby-Friendly model of care and hospital policies.
• Document care: assessment, IPOC, implementation, evaluation, discharge and education.
