Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician for its Wesley Chapel, FL location. You will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and related lab support activities in a fast-paced hospital setting, including night shifts.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within the AdventHealth Lab team. Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, quality control, and assisting with training and education of staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy training preferred.
• Phlebotomy training program completed or in progress preferred.
• 1+ year of healthcare experience required; AdventHealth Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• May perform point of care testing and related quality control and reporting.
• Handle general lab duties including specimen processing and clerical tasks.
• Collect blood specimens via phlebotomy for all ages.
• Maintain safety policies, PPE use, and infection control procedures.
• Train staff and students as assigned.
