Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Laboratory Professional for the night shift to support patient care in the Tavarest area. Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen processing, and coordination with clinical staff.

You will work with the lab team to ensure timely test processing, maintain quality control, and uphold safety and infection control standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
• Technical/Vocational School (Preferred)
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program (Preferred)
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly (Required)
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Required)
• Experience with lab information systems is a plus (Required)

Responsibilities

• May perform point of care testing, quality control, maintenance, troubleshooting and result reporting.
• Collect patient and test information to create accounts and verify IDs and insurance.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen processing.
• Transport and process specimens, including centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Train new staff and students as needed.
• Follow safety policies, PPE use and infection control guidelines.
