Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor in Phlebotomy to oversee departmental operations and staff. This role requires coordination with physicians and other departments to maintain quality, accuracy and timely lab results.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree and 3-5 years in a clinical setting, with strong knowledge of CAP/CLIA standards and experience in staff development and performance management.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree is required.
• 3-5 years experience in a patient care or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervises departmental technical operations and human resources.
• Promotes strong customer service orientation with zero tolerance for suboptimal performance.
• Resolves operational and technical problems within department and with other departments.
• Investigates specimen problems, service delays and performance issues.
• Acts as consultant to physicians and hospital departments, supporting the division manager.
• Develops, evaluates and implements new procedures to improve function.
• Maintains CAP/CLIA compliance and associated documentation.
