Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a phlebotomy-focused technician to support the Core Lab across shifts. The role emphasizes blood collection, specimen handling, and clerical duties within established laboratory guidelines.

You will interact with clinicians, patients, and family members, maintaining high safety standards while using LIS/e-Source systems and supporting training for new hires. This position is full-time, on-site, with night shifts and 32 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Driver's license may be required for certain locations.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in phlebotomy and/or specimen processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and/or specimen processing as assigned by the campus.
• Adhere to Safety and Infection Control practices.
• Provide customer service to clinicians and clients, and communicate with staff and patients.
• Maintain clear communication with physicians, office staff, and laboratory colleagues; use service recovery when needed.
• Complete associated computer tasks (LIS, e-Source) and support training for new staff and students.
