Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Phlebotomy/Lab Assistant to perform phlebotomy and related laboratory tasks at our campus. You will handle blood, tissue, and other specimens, following lab guidelines with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient care.

The role emphasizes customer service to clinicians and patients, with opportunities to work with LIS and e-Source and to train new staff. Evening shifts, 40 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Driver's License issued by the DMV is required.
• 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy and/or specimen processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as assigned.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices.
• Provide customer service to clinicians, clients, and staff.
• Communicate professionally with physician offices and laboratory personnel.
• Support computer-related tasks (LIS, e-Source) as needed.
• Assist with training new employees and students.
