Job summary

Penn State Health’s St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse for night shifts. The RN will assess patient health, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, monitor patients, and maintain detailed medical records.

The role supports health maintenance and disease prevention for ill or disabled patients. The position requires an active RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or multi-state license.
• AHA BLS required prior to end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Administer nursing care, monitor patients, and manage medications with attention to reactions and side effects.
• Maintain accurate medical records and provide health maintenance and disease prevention guidance.
