Job summary

Penn State Health is seeking an inpatient Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA. The RN will assess patient health problems, develop and implement care plans, and maintain medical records. Responsibilities include medication administration and monitoring patient conditions.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and will involve day shifts with 0.90 FTE. A sign-on bonus and generous benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by state of employment or multistate license.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS required before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Administer nursing care and medications; monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions.
