Job summary

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA seeks an RN in the Critical Care Unit to provide inpatient nursing care, assess patients, implement plans, and maintain records. Shift is Night, with 7:00p-7:00a hours and a $5.00 night differential.

Eligible full-time staff receive benefits including a $10,000 sign-on bonus and future tuition discounts. The role requires licensure as an RN and BLS/ACLS; experience in critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in the state of employment or multistate license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs and develop care plans.
• Maintain medical records and administer nursing care to inpatients.
• Advise on health maintenance and disease prevention; monitor changes.
• Administer medications and watch for reactions and side effects.
