Job summary

Target is seeking an Inbound Expert to support General Merchandise operations on the sales floor, ensuring product is stocked, accurately priced and accessible to guests. You will sort, stock and assist guests with a friendly, service-first approach in a fast-paced setting.

Training will cover guest service fundamentals, inventory accuracy and process efficiency, with emphasis on safety and compliance. The position offers flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and guest-first culture.
• Experience in retail basics including: department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the salesfloor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
