Job summary

Bon Secours Virginia is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to manage hospital call-center communications, relay messages, and coordinate on-call providers using Amcom On-Call. The role requires calm, professional communication and adherence to HIPAA in a high-pressure environment.

You will monitor codes, update schedules, and support emergency response while partnering with IT and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of recent customer service experience in a call center environment, medical call center preferred.
• Ability to read, write, type 25 WPM and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate area with minimal errors.
• Provide emergency assistance and announce emergencies per protocol.
• Maintain and update on-call schedules.
• Respect patient and data confidentiality under HIPAA.
