Optimal Care is seeking a Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled care overnight in patients' homes, facilities, or nursing homes. The role offers a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule and potential to begin and end shifts from home.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure, 1 year of clinical experience, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays while collaborating with physicians and the hospice team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• BSN preferred; hospice or home health experience is a plus.
• Previous after-hours or on-call experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight hospice care and symptom management during 7-on/7-off nights.
• Respond to urgent needs and support end-of-life comfort and dignity.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospice leadership within the interdisciplinary team.
