Job summary

Optimal Care is seeking an experienced Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, skilled care and family support during the overnight hours. You will work a consistent 7-on / 7-off night rotation (5pm–8am) with shifts beginning and ending from home, allowing you to disconnect during your time off.

This role requires travel within the service area to patients’ homes or facilities. You must hold an active RN license in Michigan and have at least 1 year of clinical nursing

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Current State License as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 1 year experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and valid automobile insurance coverage.
Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled hospice nursing care to patients and families.
Assess and respond to urgent symptoms overnight.
Collaborate with physicians and the hospice team to ensure continuity of care.
Travel daily within the service area to patients' homes and facilities.
