Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Registered Nurse, Hematology-Oncology (Night) to deliver skilled nursing care to oncology patients. You will assess responses to treatments, administer chemotherapy, monitor cardiac rhythms, and lead non-licensed staff within an integrated cancer care program.

The role requires active AZ RN license (compact state acceptable), BLS and ACLS within specified periods, and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy immunotherapy certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in inpatient (IP) chemo for hematology/oncology
• AZ Registered Nurse license or a compact-state RN license
• BLS certification required on hire and renewed every 2 years
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Card within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years

Responsibilities

• Assess and recognize normal/abnormal responses to treatments and intervene.
• Administer medications via all routes with 6 rights and bar-code scanning.
• Provide nursing leadership to non-licensed staff and coordinate care.
• Read and respond to cardiac monitor rhythms and intervene as needed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection-control practices.
