Job summary

City of Hope seeks an experienced inpatient oncology nurse to join our Goodyear, AZ team. This role focuses on assessing patients, delivering chemotherapy, monitoring for side effects, and coordinating care with physicians and families.

The ideal candidate has 1 year IP chemo experience, AZ RN license or compact state, BLS and ACLS certifications, and ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification within 30 days of hire. We value patient-centered cancer care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in IP chemo or blood cancers
• BLS certification required upon hire and renewed every 2 years
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and renewed every 2 years
• ONCS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certificate within 30 days of hire and renewal every 2 years

Responsibilities

• Assess and recognize normal/abnormal responses to treatments and intervene accordingly
• Deliver nursing interventions per the medical plan of care
• Administer medications via all routes with 6 rights and barcode verification
• Provide nursing leadership to non-licensed staff and coordinate care
• read and operate cardiac monitor and respond to rhythms
• care for patients with IV lines, central lines, ports, chest tubes, etc.
