Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our infusion clinic team in treating cancer patients. This full-time role features 10-hour shifts with evening hours (11:30am start weekdays, 8:30am on weekends/holidays), dedicated to serving patients through chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN or MSN, California RN license, and 3+ years oncology experience; BLS CPR, ONS Provider Card, and preferred OCN.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
Current California RN license.
Minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferred background in oncology nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association.
ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card.
OCN (preferred).
Proficiency in administering chemotherapy and a deep understanding of cancer treatment principles.

Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments with precision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Monitor patients closely during infusions and procedural chemo administrations, assessing for adverse reactions and providing immediate care as needed.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment administration.
Offer emotional support and a compassionate presence to patients, fostering trust and confidence.
