Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer at our Chicago location to support front desk operations and security procedures. You will greet tenants and visitors, verify access, and maintain visitor records while upholding security policies.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to respond calmly to incidents. A high school diploma is required, with background checks and drug screening conducted as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and building personnel at a commercial real estate front desk.
• Welcome and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other building systems; report irregularities as per procedures.
• Respond to incidents, tenant requests, and emergencies calmly and professionally; notify appropriate personnel.
