Job summary

Volunteers of America/National Housing Corporation is hiring a Front Desk associate in Toledo, OH for a full-time, on-site overnight shift. The role focuses on building safety, resident support, and reception duties, including check-ins, phone handling, and crisis-safe communication.

CPR/first aid and a background check are required. Responsibilities include ensuring security, coordinating with residents and staff, and following the front desk manual.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability under agency policy.
• Adult CPR and standard first aid certificates.
• Must pass background screening (drug, employment history and criminal).

Responsibilities

• Represent Volunteers of America/National Housing Corporation professionally to clients and visitors.
• Answer incoming calls and take appropriate action.
• Determine if issues can be resolved immediately or require managerial input.
• Input data into company system to keep records updated.
• Monitor lobby traffic; ensure guests check in/out with proper ID and rules followed.
• Log occurrences during shift and stay alert at all times.
• Follow desk manual procedures and report hazards or emergencies to management.
