Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Technician I (Finance) to safely load, unload, and move goods within a cold environment. You will operate sit-down, stand-up, and other forklifts, use RF scanners, and ensure accurate inventory control while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires minimal forklift experience (6 months preferred), the ability to work in freezer/cooler conditions, and the capacity to lift up to 40 pounds. Overtime and off-hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months forklift experience.
• Must be able to work in freezer/cooler and lift 30–40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and assemble orders for shipment.
• Check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation; label, wrap, and pack as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while keeping a clean, orderly environment.
