Job summary

Phoenix House California is seeking a Facility Manager to oversee safety, security, and efficient operation of the treatment facility and its staff on the Tuesday-Saturday shift. The role includes supervising Recovery Support Staff, coordinating drills, maintaining documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant license/credential
• Certified or registered AOD Counselor per DHCS
• 3 years experience in a co-occurring residential or outpatient treatment
• 2 years supervisory experience in a co-occurring residential or outpatient treatment setting
• Valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance
• TB test clearance annually

Responsibilities

• Interview and hire Recovery Support Staff (all shifts).
• Provide day-to-day supervision of Recovery Support Staff and clients.
• Conduct contraband searches per policy.
• Document room/bed checks, facility checks, and logs in EHR.
• Schedule and conduct drills (fire, earthquake) per licensure.
• Investigate major incidents in the community as needed.
• Ensure adequate direct care staffing for state/federal compliance.
• Lead supervisor meetings and prepare corrective action plans.
• Provide on-the-spot staff training on treatment methods.
• Facilitate routine groups and individual counseling with patients.
• Prepare supervisory reports in a timely fashion.
• Provide on-call support and shift coverage as needed.
