Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to ensure oxygen tanks are stocked, rooms are ready with supplies, and patients are transported to needed departments. You will support RNs and physicians with care, and assist with clerical tasks as directed.

Ideal candidates are EMT/CNA/MA certified, with BLS, dysrhythmia training, and strong communication in English. This role offers growth within UHS and its facilities.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification - State of California preferred.
• CPI Certification obtained within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills; basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions.

Responsibilities

• Reports and documents patient care in the emergency department system, including vital signs and bedside observations.
• Provides telephone services, answers calls, pages physicians, and notifies needed departments promptly.
• Assists RNs and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments; supports the unit clerk with clerical duties.
