Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Seasonal Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This temporary assignment runs from October 2026 through March 30, 2027, with two 12-hour shifts per week.

The role includes a bonus upon successful completion of shifts and exceptional pay. Qualified candidates will have 1 year of Emergency or Critical Care experience, a California RN license, NIHSS within 3 months, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year Emergency or Critical Care experience in an acute care facility.
• Current California RN license.
• NIHSS required within 3 months of hire.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments appropriate to patient presentation, care setting, age, development, and cultural orientation.
• Identifies and prioritizes need for further assessment and initiates discharge planning as appropriate.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results; handles cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmias.
• Assists ED physician with diagnoses and interventional procedures and handles procedural sedation.
• Maintains current competencies on ED equipment including defibrillator and infusion pumps.
