Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician to support hazardous waste handling and compliance activities as part of the Clean Earth integration. You will consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

The role is a physically active night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). You will lift up to 50 pounds, operate a forklift, and complete required documentation accurately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Read labels and documentation; depth perception for forklifts.
• Must wear PPE: safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, respirator.

Responsibilities

• Safely consolidate, treat, store, transport and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly.
• Operate forklift and other equipment to move containers to/from storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.
• Assist with loading/unloading and movement of materials throughout the facility.
