Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City is seeking an Environmental Services Shift Manager to lead the EVS team on the 10:30 PM–7:00 AM shift. You will oversee housekeeping operations, ensure a spotless, safe hospital environment, and model outstanding service.

You will plan daily and weekly schedules, recruit and train staff, coach teammates, and collaborate on policies with Operations. A strong leader with 3–5 years of team leadership or an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 3–5 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with passion for delivering excellent service and helping others grow.
• Strong people skills and ability to motivate individuals and teams.
• Comfort with computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; able to coach and schedule effectively.
• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cleaning team to keep hospital environment sparkling, orderly, and inviting.
• Plan and organize daily and weekly work schedules.
• Supervise, motivate, and support the cleaning crew.
• Recruit, train, and retain top team members.
• Coach and mentor staff to help them grow.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to implement policies.
