UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri seeks a Sr. Environmental Services Technician to lead the housekeeping team on the 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM shift. This role emphasizes leadership, quality cleaning, and ensuring patient and staff safety across the unit.

You will direct tasks, mentor staff, operate cleaning equipment, and maintain hospital-grade standards while promoting a collaborative, high-energy environment on every shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of housekeeping experience, healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with floor machines and vacuums.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stay active through shift.
• English reading and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the point person on your shift and lead the housekeeping crew.
• Train and mentor new team members.
• Ensure tasks are completed to hospital-grade standards.
• Maintain safety and infection control.
• Communicate with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Know cleaning gear and operate vacuums, floor machines, polishers.
• Read and follow cleaning product labels and safety instructions.
