WVU Medicine is seeking an Office Support Dispatch Specialist for night shifts to coordinate non-emergency medical transport in collaboration with EMS duty supervisors. The role includes administrative support across patient care documentation, logistics, supply chain, and facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Two years of dispatcher experience.
• Two years as a medical provider (EMT/Paramedic/MA/RN/etc.).
• Experience in EMS industry.

Responsibilities

• Process requests for patient transportation.
• Coordinate pre-approvals and medical necessity where possible.
• Assist with PCS completion and facility compliance.
• Answer calls and provide exceptional customer service.
• Monitor ground asset locations for tracking.
• Use CAD to enter calls and assign assets.
• Coordinate transport with mutual aid agencies.
• Ensure paperwork compliance and crew feedback processes.
• Provide logistics support and restock assets.
• Data entry and filing to keep operations organized.
