Job summary

AHS LLC EMS Monongalia is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate non-emergency medical transport in Morgantown, WV. The role supports patient care documentation, logistics, supply chain, and facilities, reporting to the Monongalia EMS Duty supervisor.

Qualified candidates will have prior dispatcher experience, medical credentials, and familiarity with CAD systems. This position emphasizes customer service, asset tracking, and compliance across EMS operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Dispatcher preferred.
• Current or previous medical certification or license (EMT, Paramedic, RN, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process requests for patient transportation.
• Ensure medical necessity where possible.
• Coordinate pre-approvals when necessary.
• Assist with PCS completion and compliance with facilities requesting.
• Answer calls with exceptional customer service.
• Monitor location of ground assets for accurate tracking.

In addition to primary duties, this position will provide administrative and operational support in patient care documentation, logistics, supply chain, facilities and other administrative and operational areas.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:1. High School Diploma or equivalent.2. Valid Driver’s License.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:1. Certified Dispatcher.2. Current or previous medical certification or license (EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.)EXPERIENCE:1. At least Two (2) years of experience as a dispatcher.2. At least Two (2) years as a medical provider (EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.)3. Experience in the EMS industry.4. Experience in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems (Zoll and/or Zeurcher).5.
