Job summary

Mercy Health’s Emergency Department – Fairfield is seeking an ED Tech to support nurses with direct patient care during night shifts. You will assist with vital signs, lab draws, ECGs, wound care and mobility while maintaining clear documentation.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED and prefer BLS readiness; EMR/EMT/Medical Assisting certifications are also preferred to support team needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred before treating patients.
• Current EMR/EMT/Medical Assisting certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN guidance and according to regulations.
• Performs tasks like vital signs, basic wound care, labs, ECGs, and patient mobility.
• Maintains accurate documentation and handoffs for patient care.
