Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support clinicians in a fast-paced ED. Responsibilities include assisting with EKGs, IV starts, venipunctures, CPR, and patient transport, while documenting care and maintaining supplies.

The role requires CNA or MA/EMT/Paramedic training and certification. Shift is nights; schedule includes 3, 12-hour shifts per week, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program or graduate of an ABHES/CAAHEP accredited MA program or equivalent.
• Graduate of an EMT or Paramedic program.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
• Answers call lights promptly and appropriately.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
• Manages supplies, stocks new items, and disposes of expired or damaged supplies.
• Starts IVs, performs 12 Lead EKGs, venipunctures, and assists with procedures as directed.
