Job summary

ProTrans International is seeking a Driver Manager to oversee drivers, schedules, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced transportation environment. The role emphasizes route optimization, coaching, and coordination with dispatch and management to maintain high service levels.

The position includes a Monday–Friday shift from 6pm to 4am, totaling about 45 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on safety, record-keeping, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in driver supervision or fleet management.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with transportation management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor driver compliance with safety policies, transportation laws, and company procedures.
• Develop and maintain driver schedules, routes, and assignments to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and address any disciplinary issues as needed.
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to resolve operational challenges and improve service quality.
• Maintain accurate records related to driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and incident reports.
• Facilitate ongoing training programs to enhance driver skills and knowledge of safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, management, and clients to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
