Job summary

GP Transco, a Chicago-based trucking company, is hiring a Driver Manager to oversee daily processes for truckload shipments, support a group of drivers, and ensure high customer service standards.

You will guide drivers to maximize earnings, plan routes, monitor KPI thresholds, ensure FMCSA HOS compliance, and coordinate with brokers and planners in a fast-paced environment. Day shift, in-person role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of industry related experience managing truck drivers.
• Strong English listening and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Guide drivers to maximize earnings while maintaining customer service.
• Suggest efficient routes and maintain driver communication throughout the day.
• Collaborate with Planning to adjust routes per needs.
• Monitor weekly KPI thresholds to ensure profitability.
• Build strong driver relationships and manage performance reviews.
• Ensure FMCSA HOS compliance and maintain safety standards.
• Coordinate with brokers and customers to meet targets.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and maintenance planning.
• Track driver/vehicle locations and optimize utilization.
• Document tasks, reports, and system updates promptly.
