Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Manager, Operations to oversee the day-to-day activities of the distribution department and drive performance across shifts. The role focuses on achieving facility goals, coaching hourly staff, and delivering timely reports to leadership.

The position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and effective communication, with a schedule Sunday through Wednesday, 6:30 PM to 5:00 AM, in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team-building experience in a warehousing/distribution setting.
• Strong analytical skills for cost control, forecasting, and process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior management and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the distribution department and meet/exceed goals.
• Lead hourly staff through guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Generate management reports on key metrics and safety/compliance.
• Drive safety, quality, cost control, and process excellence across shifts.
• Present analyses and recommendations to senior leaders as needed.
• Identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements.
• Foster a customer-focused, collaborative work culture.
• Coordinate handoffs between shifts to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain inventory control procedures and accuracy.
