Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Manager, Operations to oversee the day-to-day management of a distribution department and drive achievement of facility goals. The role includes coordinating shifts, building high-performing teams, and generating performance reports for executive reviews.

Key responsibilities include optimizing safety, cost control, quality, and customer service while ensuring efficient handoffs between shifts and collaboration with IT for systems improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Heavy lifting, constant moving, standing and reaching with arms and hands; ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a department in our distribution facility with a focus on meeting or surpassing goals and targets.
• Builds high performing teams by providing guidance and support for all hourly colleagues.
• Generate reports for management to keep them informed on key metrics.
• Ensure that various departments excel in safety, shortage, cost control, quality, processing standards, flexibility, reliability, customer service, and execution of plans.
• Conduct presentations to senior management as needed.
• Continuously analyze work processes to identify optimization opportunities and implement improvements.
