Job summary

Eden Housing is hiring for an Entry Level Assistant Manager at Sobrato Family Apartments, Gilroy, CA. The role supports the Community Manager in daily operations, including resident move-ins/outs, rent processing, and maintaining files and compliance with EHMI policies.

The position also includes night manager duties, after-hours presence, emergency response coordination, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained property. Minimum 6 months clerical/office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months clerical/office experience or related training.
• Experience in housing or property management is a plus.
• Familiarity with HUD, CHFA, RHCP rules is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Order office supplies.
• Schedule maintenance and file work orders.
• Assist in move-in/out procedures and unit inspections.
• Process applications and maintain resident files per EHMI policies.
• Collect rent and perform daily deposits as needed.
• Answer calls and maintain courteous office interactions.
• Prepare project status reports and maintain organized files.
