Job summary

Fowey Hall Hotel is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to oversee the hotel from sundown to sunrise, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction. The role is permanent, 32 hours per week, with a rate of £13.28 per hour plus a service charge.

Responsibilities include night-time guest assistance, check-ins, and maintaining reception standards while working as part of a motivated team. Flexibility for weekends and nights is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or hospitality background preferred.
• Engaging personality with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to interact with all guests including children.
• Calm under pressure and capable of handling emergencies.
• Availability to work night shifts and weekends.
• Honesty and good judgement, with basic numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hotel from sundown to sunrise, ensuring safety and guest well‑being.
• Assist guests during the night, including check‑ins and inquiries.
• Maintain brand standards of reception and public areas.
• Work as part of a team to manage the guest experience and concierge service.
• Understand health and safety and remain calm in challenging circumstances.
